Testing Info

The Shelby Amateur Radio Club’s Volunteer Examiner (VE) Team offers FCC license testing before or after our regular monthly meeting. But, pre‑registration is required.

If you want to take an exam, please contact the VE Coordinator shown below at least one week in advance so a testing time can be scheduled and a full VE team can be present.

What to bring

• Your FRN number from the FCC. If you don’t have one, you can get it by going to the FCC website.
• Bring photo identification.
• If upgrading, bring a copy of your current license
• $10 fee. This fee is for the testing session, not each test. So you could take all three tests, provided you pass each prior level.
